About the Role

As a Technical Account Manager, you’ll be the first technical touchpoint for new customers after they sign. You’ll guide them through onboarding, help them get to value quickly, and build the foundation for long-term success. This role is equal parts account manager and systems troubleshooter — one day you’re running a product training, the next you’re digging into a disk capacity issue or a network error on a customer’s environment. If you enjoy variety and love solving both people and technical problems, this role is for you.


What You’ll Do

  • Own the onboarding experience for new customers, ensuring smooth deployment and configuration of Blendata’s platform
  • Conduct product walkthroughs, training sessions, and technical Q&As for customer teams
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during the post-sales period
  • Monitor and respond to infrastructure-level issues such as disk capacity, network connectivity, and database errors on customer environments
  • Perform basic system health checks and diagnostics as part of regular account management
  • Coordinate with customers’ IT/infrastructure teams to resolve environment-related blockers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues, escalating to engineering when needed
  • Document customer environments, use cases, and feedback to improve our processes
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Support to advocate for customer needs
  • Track customer health metrics and flag risks early

Requirement

What We're Looking For

  • 0–5 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role or system/infrastructure support role (TAM, solutions engineer, technical support, sysadmin, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data warehouses, BI tools)
  • Hands-on familiarity with Linux/Unix systems — comfortable navigating file systems, checking logs, and basic troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of common infrastructure issues: disk management, network diagnostics, and database connectivity
  • Comfortable working with SQL; exposure to cloud or on-premise server environments is a plus
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple customer relationships
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

 

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with any of Blendata's core stack: Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, Kafka, or Zeppelin Notebook
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms or SaaS/on-premise B2B environments
  • A background in data analytics, computer science, or IT infrastructure
