Requirement
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Develop processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy using our Big Data software.
- Act as a consultant to stakeholders, providing expert advice on data science methodologies, best practices, and the latest industry trends.
- Pitch data science solutions to internal teams and external clients, effectively communicating the value and potential impact of proposed models and algorithms.
- Design and architect data science solutions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness in alignment with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Lead a team in resolving product or service problems by identifying the root cause, guiding the selection and explanation of the optimal solution, facilitating correction or adjustment, and ensuring thorough follow-up to achieve resolution.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in advanced analytics project implementation is a plus.
- Extensive experience and strong understanding in data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and methods related to advanced analytics.
- Proficiency with ML/AI tools and frameworks such as Jupyter Notebook, Keras, TensorFlow, AutoML, Kubeflow, etc.
- Familiarity with data processing tools.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Fluent in English.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience with the Spark framework is a plus.
- Experience with big data platforms is a plus.
- Academic Focus:
- Demonstrated track record of publishing in reputable journals and conferences in the fields of data science, machine learning, or related areas.
- Experience in leading or significantly contributing to academic research projects, including proposal writing, methodology development, and results dissemination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently drive projects to completion.
